Barbara Flanagan is an author and designer who trained as an architect. This month she launches her new book, Flanagan's Smart Home (Workman). A Contributing Editor to ID Magazine, she also wrote The Houseboat Book (Rizzoli), and contributed to Design Is . . . (Metropolis Books). She has written extensively for The New York Times, as well as The New York Times Magazine and Elle Decor.
